Sziasztok! Time flies really fast, we are already here in Mallorca for more than 2 months. By now we have got used to life here and we have adapted some habits that are different in our culture (for example, giving kisses when we say hello starting on the left side instead of the right, eating dinner and going to bed later, getting up later, and of course sometimes having siestas although it can also be pretty irritating that everything closes after lunch and I can’t go to the shops whenever it comes to my mind that I need something...). We are learning a lot about different cultures, different ways of life, and of course, about ourselves. I like it very much that we are volunteering in different departments of the Ayuntamiento every day of the week, because we can try ourselves out in various situations, plus we don’t get bored with doing the same work for 8 months. Arrival Training en Kokkola (Finlandia).

¡Hola, majos! En esta entrada os quiero hablar de mi experiencia en mi Arrival Training . Si estáis haciendo un Servicio de Voluntariado Europeo, o como se conoce ahora, Cuerpo de Solidaridad Europeo, una de vuestras actividades durante vuestro proyecto es la del Arrival Training , la formación de llegada. Consiste en que a todas las personas que llevan menos de 3 meses realizando su proyecto de voluntariado en el país donde lo realizan se reúnen para tratar los derechos y deberes del voluntario. Mediante actividades dinámicas, juegos y hasta alguna clase de Finlandés en mi caso, conocemos la importancia de ser un voluntario europeo y la forma de poder aprovechar la oportunidad. Personalmente, creo que también es una forma muy útil de conocer a personas que están en la misma situación que tú y que, incluso si echas de menos personas de tu país, también es probable que encuentres alguna. Hi! This past month I have not written blog because I went to Christmas to Spain and I have not spent much time here. At the beginning of December I was able to visit the Christmas tree that they put next to the cathedral every year, next to a small Christmas market where I bought a couple of things to give to my family. Now in January I have returned, and in the kindergarten there have been two news volunteer girls, from another organization, who come to spend with us 6 weeks, they are from Hungary and Ukraine, they are very nice, and another new volunteer girl has also come from Turkey but she is from my organization, and lives with me, and will be with us all year.
